Herring Cove Restaurant in Campobello Island

Food is good but not exceptional

Took family there for a quick bite after a long day. Waited at least 30 mins for some simple burgers and sandwiches. By then, the mosquitoes were getting bad on the deck, asked the waitress whether we can move inside, was told there was no table. The mosquitoe situation got worse and worse when the food was finally served, we had to ask for carry out box to leave within 5 mins after we started. At that time, a nice lady told us there was an empty table inside and she helped us moved in. The waitress did not help at all, nor did they show any sorry. We left right after kids barely finished their food. I cannot believe how cold and unsympathetic the waitress were. On the other hand, they did ask another couple who came after us to move inside, don't understnd why we were treated differently, maybe because we were the only colored people there. The food was not good either, below par at best. Will never come back.

Great food

Food was good but not great. I had lasagna, it wasn't very warm. Service was glacially slow. Dessert was delicious, however.

Excellent food. Gluten-free options available and an amazing view. Great service as well.

I've been coming to Campobello for years and had never been there until recently. This is definitely a place I'll come back to! I had their fish and scallops. The portions of both were huge and both were excellent. Only downside was their cocktail sauce was a little bland. Nice views too!

Firstly, our server was super friendly and helpful. Dined on fish & Chips - the fish was great, perfect batter and cooked perfectly. Also had some fish chowder which was tasty but didn't necessarily steal the show. The prices were very fair and reasonable. This restaurant has good service hours which was appreciated as there was another one on the island that closed at 2 pm and another one not open and options on Campobello aren't exactly plentiful as it's a relatively small island.

Great food, pricing is very reasonable. Staff are very helpful and the view is fantastic. Went twice on a visit to Campobello, will recommend.

Great service and food. Fishcakes were great, the fish chowder perfect. It was an enjoyable meal overall. 🙂

Have been going for years for breakfast. Very good variety and great cheerful service. Try their multigrain toast, best anywhere! Opens at 8AM AT.
